The chapel construction began in early November, 2026. Longnecker Home Improvement was the General Contractor for the build. Overall, the weather was good, so the construction moved along at a good pace.
The chapel was built on the foundation from the church, which was a huge savings in time and expense. In addition to the slab, an eight foot wide walkway was extended to the driveway, eliminating any issues with access to the chapel.
The exterior is faced in stone, which we expect to weather extremely well and reduce maintenance in the long term. The steel roof is also expected to age extremely well.
The pictures below show several stages in the construction of the chapel. The last picture is the bell from the Brough School. It was damaged during the tree removal, but was repaired during the construction process.
