Sam L. Thompson

Sam L. Thompson, 77, of 1611 S. Grand, died Monday morning in the local hospital.  He was a retired employee of Comet Rice Mill.

Mr. Thompson was born Jan, 27, 1891 at Camden, Ind.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served during World War I.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a wife, Mrs. Essie Thompson; two daughters, Mrs. Betty McKnight, North Little Rock, and Mrs. Patty Berry, Little Rock; three sons, George of Texas and Donald and Harold, both of California; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Shiloh Methodist Church by the Rev. Billy Kimbrough of Southside Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery by Morgans Funeral Home.
