After consultations with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture Forestry Division agents, it was concluded that the pine trees at the cemetery would not recover from the multiple issues attacking them. The logging company that harvested trees for board member Tom Hasty agreed to remove the trees. As of this posting, we do not yet know the total cost for the work.
The look of the cemetery is quite different after the tree removal. The cleanup continues and the grounds are much fresher after the work. There is still a pile of debris to be burned and stumps that will rot away in time.
